Who Knew?(R) The Dealing With Tragedy Issue
This workbook helps preteens move beyond the feelings of helplessness, fear, and anxiety that are commonly associated with large-scale tragedy. It then takes them one step further by providing opportunities for brainstorming ways to support others, and in so doing, helps children regain a sense of personal power. Interactive exercises help young adolescents identify their feelings about the event; become better aware of which reactions help and which reactions hinder the healing process; prepare to stay safe should tragedy strike close to home; and communicate their thoughts and feelings about the tragedy to the outside world. 12 pages, 8 1/2" x 11". Ages 9-11
